You can re-order and rename the holes in Map Manger or from the Layouts level. This is something that should typically be done when Map Manager & Smart Layouts are established, except in special circumstances. Special circumstances might include: a re-design of a course, or if temporary holes become permanent and the naming of the holes change.

If you're just wanting to start at a different part of the course, you should use the 'Starting Hole' feature when creating a scorecard. If the hole order is only different on a specific layout, such as for a league or event, then this should be handled from the Layouts tab of your Course Tools.

If you need to reorder and rename your holes, follow these simple steps:

  1. Start by clicking “Actions.”

  2. Click “Reorder and rename holes.”

  3. Here you will see the option to drag and drop each hole to reorder. On this same screen, you can rename them by tapping on the number displayed.

  4. Once you have reordered and renamed them, click “Save.”

  5. Along the bottom, you should now see your holes placed in this new order and new naming.

Another option for renaming a hole is at the hole level:

  1. Click on the hole that needs to be renamed.

  2. Click on the pencil icon in the upper right-hand corner.

  3. Change the name of the hole.

  4. Click “Save.”

After completing this for each hole that needs to be renamed, be sure to review and submit your changes for approval, and we'll get that approved for you as soon as we can!
