What are Messages & Updates?

Have you wanted a way to communicate to players through your UDisc Event or League? Now you can! The Messages & updates tab, is a space where communications can be listed directly on the event and emailed to players. 


There are some differences in the types of communication you can send from a UDisc Event versus a UDisc League. 


From your UDisc Event you can send a: push notification, email, or post an update. 



From your UDisc League you can choose to send an email to all league players, or choose "event specific message" where you'll see options to send a: push notification, email, or post an update.

How do I create a message or update?

To get started, tap the Messages & updates tab and then tap + New Message.


If sending an update from your UDisc League, choose between sending an Event-specific message or email to league members.


If sending an event-specific message or communication from your UDisc Event, you'll see three communication options: push notification, email, and update. *Please note: to post an update you must send the communication to "Everyone."


Choose your audience. Who are you going to sent communications to? You can choose between Everyone or Let me choose. The Let me choose option allows you to manually select players, or send to a specific group (division, pool, or round).


Select your communication type! Multiple communication types can be selected so you can create each message without leaving this page. For example, in the screenshot below I've selected to send a push notification, email, and post an update to my event.


*Please note - an update can only be posted if selecting "Everyone" as your audience.



Once you're ready to send your communications, tap Send to __ recipient(s). This will send all communications you have selected and display the number of recipients it will be sent to.


Can I edit my messages & updates?

All communications will display internally on your Messages & updates tab. To edit, share, or delete a communication click on the 3 stacked dots. Updates can be edited, deleted, or shared, while emails and push notifications can only be viewed once sent.



Where are my updates posted?

All updates are posted publicly on the Updates tab of your event. This tab is visible not only to players, but to anyone that finds this event. The update will display the name of Event admin that posted it, the title, and full description. If multiple updates are added, the most recent update will populate first. If no updates are posted, the Updates tab will not appear on your event.


Can I change the 'reply to' on my emails?

If sending an email from your event or within your League tools, you can choose the 'reply to' email. If you have included a public email on the Settings page of your event or league, you'll see this as an option under Where should replies to this email go? Otherwise, all replies will go directly to the email address associated with the UDisc account you're logged into.
