Distance to pin on Apple Watch* and Wear OS* watches is now available!

Here's how it works:

  1. Make sure you are on version 18.2 or newer of the UDisc app on both your phone and your watch.
  2. At the course, start a round on your phone and open the UDisc app on your watch.
  3. You should now see the distance between you and the pin.
  4. Next to the distance, is a GPS accuracy indicator.

  • If the accuracy is ± over 15m, the distance will appear as "-" until the GPS reading improves.

Tapping the distance indicator on your watch switches between the accuracy indicator and an explicit +/- accuracy range.

Please note, most watch models defer to the phone's GPS to preserve battery life. For those models that do not support standalone GPS (while your phone and watch are connected) the GPS reading will be based on the location of your phone, and not your watch. If you bring your phone with you on the disc golf course, keep the phone on your person to get the best GPS readings.

If your watch is not connected to your phone, and has GPS support, then your watch will use its own GPS. This can happen if you leave your phone behind, or turn off bluetooth on your watch.

However, please be aware while disconnected the scores will not sync to your device. This means scores will not sync to other players' scorecards or leaderboards if you are playing in a league or event. Once your watch reconnects to your phone, these issues will resolve, and the scores will sync to your device and to the server.
