Map Manager updates have been released as of November 15, 2023! Check out a few of the major changes you'll see throughout Map Manager and Smart Layouts below.

A New tee-centric design

Cleaner than ever, this tee-centric design is focused on mapping that feels more like your standard tee sign. The first area to note is the Overview sidebar that has a fresh, new look, displaying all active tees and targets across your course.

Gone are the days of 'pathways' and in come fairways! Instead of having a separate section within a Hole's Sidebar dedicated to each pathway, a fairway is now associated with each tee and target you've mapped in Map Manager.

To edit a fairway, head to the Tees section, find the target your tee is playing to and tap the pencil icon. You'll be directed to Fairway settings where you can edit the par, add notes, and input a custom distance by tapping the "Advanced settings" dropdown.

Add a Tee or Target within the Hole Sidebar

You can now add a tee or target directly from the Hole Sidebar. When doing so, you'll be prompted to choose Use an existing target (tee) or Add a new target (tee)Tapping Add a new target should be used when a new basket is installed. While, tapping Use an existing target (or tee) can be handy when you'd like to create fairways to another hole's tee or basket.

For example, you may want to throw from hole 1's tee pad to hole 9's basket. By tapping Use an existing target, fairways will be created for you between the target and tee you've selected.

Layout Difficulty Classification Transparency

Curious why your layout hasn't received a layout difficulty classification? Notifications now populate on fairways that have low plays counts. Fairways that don't include this notification have sufficient plays to be included when determining a layout difficulty classification or round rating.

If many of the fairways that have Low play count warnings are used within a Smart Layout, it's likely this layout will show a "Difficulty pending" warning meaning it won't produce a layout difficulty classification until it has more plays.

Reorder and rename holes all in one swoop!

Previously to change a hole name, you had to tap into the hole settings. Now, by tapping Reorder Holes in the + ACTIONS menu you can do both!

Smart Layouts vs. Classic Layout Clarification

Do you ever run into a layout appearing as a Smart Layout in your Course Tools, but displaying as a Classic Layout in the app and wonder why? This messaging has become a lot clearer with labels that identify whether a layout will appear a Smart or Classic and what you can do fix it.

Errors such as Needs attention and a "Classic Layout" label are a good sign that a layout needs fixing before it can appear as a Smart Layout in the app.
