How can I make adjustments using my location?

In your Course Tools -> Map Manager, (which you can access from a computer or phone via udisc.com/dashboard or by tapping More -> Dashboard in the app) you'll have a variety of options to nail a precise location for each target and tee pad.

  1. Select the target or tee pad icon on the map and this will open a menu including a Reposition button.

  2. Drag the yellow dot directly on the map to a better location, zooming in as needed. Or if you're using your phone on the course, you can tap Use my location in the upper-left to have your phone's GPS hone in on the right spot (on the pole of a basket, or at the front of the tee area).

  3. Make sure you it the orange Confirm placement button after moving an element.

How do I enter the latitude or longitude of elements?

If the satellite image isn't super clear or you already have precise latitude and longitude coordinates for tee pads and target positions, you can input the coordinates directly after you have placed the tee or target.

  1. Click on the tee or target you wish to update.

  2. Click Edit and then scroll down on the right-hand side panel to Advanced Settings.

  3. Here you can enter your coordinates.

  4. Make sure you hit the orange Save button in the lower right after entering latitude and longitude values.

How do I enter a custom distance?

If your fairway's distance is nearly perfect in matching the hole's tee sign, but needs a slight adjustment (for example, Map Manager calculates 357 feet but the tee sign displays 355 feet), then you can override a custom distance.

  1. Click on the fairway (line between tee and target).

  2. Hit Edit and then open up Advanced Settings on the right.

  3. Enter the custom distance and hit Save

*Please note: this custom distance override is only appropriate for minor adjustments. Plugging in a custom fairway distance could decrease confidence in the layout difficulty and Round Ratings model if there's a major discrepancy between GPS-calculated and custom distance. So if the hole distance is way off, then please try the other tips listed above here instead.

Always remember to tap "Review and submit changes for approval" in the upper-right after making changes on the Map Manager page.
