Welcome to the UDisc Community Guide! Whether you've joined or are just looking for resources on what UDisc Community has to offer, you've come to the right place. UDisc Community is a space to celebrate disc golf and cheer each other on! Use this guide as an overview to get you started.



Joining UDisc Community

UDisc Community is here! We can’t wait for you to share your disc golf rounds and spread the love of disc golf. If you haven’t joined yet, you should see the Community tab populate within the Home tab of the app. Head to this tab and tap Join UDisc Community.* 


*(If you are on iOS 15, there is a known issue with completing the walkthrough. Follow this link on a browser other than Safari, and you should be able to complete your sign up there.)



From here you’ll review the UDisc Community Guidelines and walk through a series of screens that can help you decide which privacy settings make the most sense for you. These settings can be changed at any time, but it’s good to make sure you select the privacy options that feel most comfortable for you!


Once you wrap up your privacy settings, select Done and you’ll see a list of steps to get your UDisc Community profile in tip-top shape! Tap into complete each item on the checklist or dismiss the list entirely if you've completed all items.


Personalize your profile

To personalize your profile, head to the You tab -> Community tab. Here you can see what other players will view if they tap into your profile (after you approve their follow request, if needed). *Please note: your PDGA # is no visible on your Community profile.


To change your name and select your home and favorite course tap Edit profile. Change your Name at the top of the page under “Overview” and scroll down to “Community” to select your Home course and Favorite course.


*Please note: Only publicly listed courses can be searched and selected in this field. If a course is marked “invite only” or “private location,” it won’t populate if searched.



Add or edit your profile picture

Maybe it’s been a minute since you’ve updated your profile picture? Make sure that friends know it’s you by adding a new picture to your profile. Tap step 2 in the checklist or head to the You tab and tap your profile image icon (or the pencil icon).


Post your rounds

No rounds are posted to your feed unless you take action. Get some rounds added by using the bulk post option within your Community settings. Head to the You → Community tab, then scroll down and look for the "Post my past 50 rounds" button. You can also tap the 3 dot menu in the upper-right. Select Community from the “Settings” dropdown, then Post my rounds.


If you subscribe to UDisc Pro, you’ll see the option to Post my past 50 rounds. You can still post your past 10 rounds without a UDisc Pro subscription. Learn about all posting options here!


If you’re not up for posting all of your past rounds, you can still post previous rounds individually. From the Home tab, tap into a round and tap the pencil icon. Here you can personalize your round by renaming your round and selecting how you post this round to your feed. Posting options will vary depending on if you’re Public or Private.


Find your people

One of the final steps to getting rolling in Community is to find your people! Head to the You tab, tap on either Followers or Following or the +person icon. Here you’ll see a magnifying glass in the top right. Tap this and search by exact username to find your friends!



Take a look at your Suggested list. This list is curated with your cardmates, ordered by those with whom you’ve played the most. You can follow any friends that have already joined Community, or invite those that haven't. If you tap Invite, it will send an invitation to your cardmate and let them know that you've invited them. Interact in the Community Feed

Your Community feed lives on your Home tab → Community, and is a space where you can easily view friends' rounds. Head to the feed to give a “Nice!” to your buddy’s round! Learn more about the Community feed here.


Leaving and rejoining UDisc Community

Not sure you're ready to join UDisc Community, or joined and want to leave for now? The choice is yours! Head to More -> Account preferences and select Community from the dropdown menu at the top to review your Community settings. If you'd like to leave UDisc Community, change the toggle to Off under Account preferences -> Community. You'll need to verify this change by tapping Yes, opt out. 


If you didn't initially join UDisc Community or previously opted out, you can also change your mind! Head to More -> Account preferences -> Community and tap Join UDisc Community. If you previously joined UDisc Community and then opted out, all of your rounds and connections will be waiting for you when you rejoin!
