Where can I find my player rating?

On your player profile in the UDisc app (via the You tab), you will see player ratings that can help you to gauge your improvements, compare your skills with other disc golfers, and understand which division or handicap might be appropriate for the next event you play. You'll find a snapshot of your current player ratings near the top of your Profile, which is tappable on either side if you'd like to see which rounds are counted toward each rating calculation. The arrow next to your player rating represents the most recent change (or lack thereof) in your player rating.

How is my player rating calculated?

Tapping on "Everyday" or "Competition" in the app will also reveal a brief explainer on the calculation method for these player ratings. The calculation considers your twenty most recent scored rounds with a round rating in UDisc, and takes the average of your best eight round ratings out of that sample. If you haven't scored twenty rated rounds in UDisc yet, then your player rating is based on the top 40% of your best rated rounds. To learn more about round ratings, please take a look at this FAQ page

Which rounds are included in my player rating calculation?

Underneath the explainer is a list of rounds included and excluded from the player rating calculation. You'll see the course, layout, date, and round rating for each of your eligible scorecards, with rounds that aren't included looking grayed-out. Tap on a round from the list to review more of the scorecard details:

What is the difference between my Competition and Everyday rating?

Everyday player ratings are available for UDisc Pro subscribers only. Your Competition player rating adheres to the same rules of mathematics as the Everyday player rating, except that only round ratings from UDisc Leagues and Events are considered for the Competition player rating calculation. It's possible that recent UDisc Leagues and Events rounds will be factored into both your Everyday and Competition rating.

What does the Rating history section show?

Scroll down a bit on your player profile (under the courses played map) to see the Rating history section. Here you'll see two tabs, Everyday and Competition, with a graph that plots your player rating over time. Interact with the graph to see which rounds shaped your changes in player rating, and what your previous player rating looked like at those points in time. These graphs are shareable via the share icon in the upper-right of the Rating history section, and the share image will highlight whichever point in time you've selected by tapping on the graph.

Can I exclude rounds that might not reflect my true player rating?

Only rounds that have "include in my stats history" toggled on will be included in your player ratings calculations, which means that teams rounds (like doubles) are never included. If you played with mulligans or another non-standard ruleset, then you can edit an existing scorecard via the hamburger menu icon in the upper-right of the Round overview, and tap on Player round settings to toggle off "include in my stats history".

Can I call a scorecard "Competitive" if our event didn't use UDisc for scoring?

There isn't a way to mark a round as "Competitive" if the scorecard isn't associated with UDisc Leagues or Events, but if you think this would be a helpful addition (or if you'd like to share any other feedback) then please feel free to send the UDisc team a message at help@udisc.com.
