What is check in?
Check in for UDisc Events allows you to keep track of who is at your event and ready for play. As a League Admin or Tournament Director (TD), you can decide what type of check in you want to allow. Choose between:
Player check in and scorecard creation - this means players will be allowed to check in and can tap to create their own scorecard(s) in the app.
Player check in ONLY - this allows players to check in so you know they've arrived, but will not allow them to create their own scorecard. *This option is only available for custom events.
League Admin/TD player check in - want full control of player check in and scorecard creation? You've met your match! From the Participants tab of your event admin tools, you can tap to check players in as they arrive.
How do I allow players to check in and create their own scorecards?
If you've created a Standard league event, then your event is already set up to run this way. On the day of your league event, players will find your event in the UDisc app, tap the "Check in" button, and then proceed to "Start round" when ready.
If you've created a UDisc Event or have converted to a Custom league event, you'll want to make sure to enable player check in and scorecard creation. Follow the steps below!
From your Event tools tap the Registration tab.
Select Yes in the "Check in" section. This allows players to check in from the app on the day of the event.
Next, head to the Scoring tab.
Under "Who can create cards?" select Players and event admin. This selection means that players can create their own scorecard, and still allows event admins to create cards as needed from the Cards tab of the event admin tools.

Once you've checked a player in, the checkmark will turn blue.
At the top right, you'll notice a x/x that signifies the total number of players you've checked in, out of the total registered (e.g., 2 of 4 players = 2/4).
