*UDisc Community is available starting with version 20.0.0, released on 9/3/24.

What is UDisc Community?

UDisc Community is a place for you to connect with friends, family and cardmates when you’re off the course. You will be able to post rounds to your profile and follow other players to see their rounds in your feed. By participating in UDisc Community you agree to follow the UDisc Community Guidelines.

May I join UDisc Community later if I’m not interested right now?

Definitely! When you're ready, go to More → Account Preferences, select Community from the top menu and then tap Join UDisc Community. You will then be prompted to set up your privacy settings and your profile. Learn more about those steps here.

Is a UDisc Pro subscription required?

A UDisc Pro subscription is not required to access UDisc Community! All you need is a free UDisc account and the UDisc app. Check out this article for more information on using UDisc Community with a free UDisc account.

What will UDisc look like if I tap not interested?

Essentially, the same as it does right now. If you choose not to join UDisc Community, your app will continue to function as it does now.

How can I exit out of Community and see only my own scorecards?

In order to get back to your normal Home page where you can see your rounds, tap "You" on the left side. When you open the app it will automatically reopen on whatever page you were last viewing. If you close the app while viewing the Community page, when you reopen you will automatically be on that page again.

How do I join UDisc Community?

You’ll notice a new Community tab on the right side of your Home screen. When you tap on it, you will see the option to  Join UDisc Community*, or indicate that you are Not interested.

*There is a known issue for members on iOS 15. You will be unable to complete the walkthrough in the app. Instead, open this link on a browser other than Safari and complete your sign-up there.

How do I find and follow my friends?

To find and follow your friends, head to your UDisc Community profile and tap either Followers or Following. Follow friends from your Suggested list, or tap the search icon to type in the UDisc username of the member you wish to follow. If this person is not on Community yet, you’ll see a Member not found error. You can also find and follow friends by checking out the Followers/Following lists on your friend's profiles, or by tapping into the list of Nices on someone's post.

What does "suggested" mean?

Your suggested list is pulled directly from your list of cardmates! Players with whom you have played the most rounds will appear at the top. From here you can follow any of your friends that have already joined Community, and invite those that haven't. Tapping Invite will send them an invitation to join you on Community.

How do I set up or edit my Community profile?

Editing your Community Profile can be done from the You tab. Tap the 3-dot menu in the upper right, and tap Edit profile. Here you can change your name, Full name, username, email, PDGA #, Home course, and Favorite course. You can learn more about your profile here.

How can I post my old rounds?

When you first join UDisc Community, if you are a UDisc Pro subscriber, you will have an opportunity to post your 50 most recent rounds to your profile. If you use the free version of UDisc, you will be able to post your most recent 10 rounds. Moving forward, each round can be easily posted as you finalize the scorecard. Learn more about posting your rounds here.

Am I able to post a round if someone else recorded it?

Absolutely! Rounds are not automatically posted to UDisc Community, and nothing is shared in real time. Make sure to go back into the app to share your round with your followers. Learn more about posting here.

Where are posted rounds visible?

Any round you post will be added to your Profile. Additionally, your posted rounds will be visible on both your own feed, and the feed of anyone that follows you. Learn more about your Community Feed here.

What can other people see on my profile?

  • Public
    • A public profile means that anyone can find you and see your profile (e.g., streak count, courses played, home course, favorite course, followers/following lists, member date), and rounds posted to your feed. You do not need to approve someone to follow you, but you will be notified when they start following you.
  • Private
    • A private profile means that only followers can see your profile, and rounds posted to your feed. Anyone that is not following you yet, can search for you and will only see your profile picture, username, and name. Anyone can request to follow you and you will be notified when they do.

How do I change my privacy settings?

Your privacy settings can be changed anytime by tapping into your Community profile → Edit profile. From here, tap the dropdown menu and select Community, then Privacy settings. All changes made here will save instantly.

Can I see my friend’s list of followers/following?

Currently, it isn't possible to see a list of all the players from someone else's Followers/Following. Learn more about how to find and follow your friends here.

How do I block someone?

If you wish to block another member so they no longer have access to your profile, you can do so via the 3-dot menu when viewing their profile. After tapping Block, you will be asked to confirm this decision by tapping Block again.

How do I report something?

If you see a post that violates one of UDisc’s Community Guidelines, you can report the post by tapping on the 3-dot menu on the right, and tapping Report. Select the reason for reporting, enter additional details, and submit. Profiles can also be reported, learn more about this here.

If I no longer wish to use UDisc Community, how do I leave?

In the UDisc app tap More -> Account Preferences. Select Community from the top menu and toggle it Off. You will then be asked to confirm this decision. Once you have opted out, all of your posts will be hidden, and your profile will no longer be searchable or viewable by any other Community members. If another player posts a round with you to UDisc Community, your name and scores will not be displayed on their post.

Can I come back to Community if I leave?

Down the road if you’d like to rejoin Community, you can do so via More → Account preferences → Community. If you rejoin, your profile, posts, and reactions will be restored.

Why are some cardmates’ round ratings not visible on my Community post?

Round Ratings are a benefit of UDisc Pro. On Community posts, only players with a UDisc Pro subscription will have a rating.
